Rooftop Ecology Group = Seoul Environmental Group

This blogger has now started a group. Basically the idea is to put my money, time and effort where my mouth (and cursor) has been up till now. The group is called rather unimaginatively The Seoul Environmental Group, basically because we’re in Seoul and we’re environmentalists.

It is my hope that getting a few more people behind the dream of converting a black hole of a city into a green garden of a city will bring the dream into being. It will require people from multiple disciplines, all putting a little effort into achieving the same goal.

We also have a facebook page where we organize meetings, lay out goals and aspirations and ask for help. I doubt there will be much that’s technical there as we do kinda want to get the thing up and running (and patented) before we take it on its world tour of every major city on the planet.

The group is growing like wildfire. And I’m working hard at connecting each person to a mentor/expert in the field.

Anyway, back to the grindstone. I need to find a contact number for Eric Toensmeier, the author of ‘Perennial Vegetables’.

Be green, live long and prosper. Since we need everybody to grab an oar and pull us out of this mess. No dying before the job is completed.

    Why the patent?

Basically, I want to create a cooperative and franchise the thing. I’m not looking to be the next Bill Gates, but I don’t want the thing taken over by corporations. Having people belong to the Coop would I think allow us to do triple bottom line stuff more effectively.
